Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I'm a newbie, and just seeking treatment for the first time. I haven't been formally diagnosed, but I'm certain I will be. I currently take medication for depression (Cymbalta and Wellbutrin), and have for years. Although I don't have any weepy episodes, I still don't want to leave my bed most days, and getting up and ready is a complete struggle. When I'm manic, I spend too much money and make impulsive, regrettable decisions. Those episodes aren't as frequent as my down days. I have an appt, but it's not until the end of November. Hoping to gain some support here in the meantime.

So I have been having a lot of health issues and my cardiologist felt that he didn't get clear enough images of my heart in the office, so he wanted to do a Trans-esophegeal heart Echocardiocgram in the hospital. I was pretty nervous about it, because I've never had any procedures related to my heart or any other major organs. I've had knee surgery and thyroid surgery, but to me anything to do...

In any case I hope you’ll find support on DS.
