Hearing voices

So for the past two weeks ive been women up out of a dead sleep in the morning to hearing my husband talking to me. Ive looked at him said what and hes been sound asleep. It would go on for a few mins then stop. I was confused but thought maybe hes talking in his sleep idk but today this morning i heard my husband say something to me then another mans voice that i didnt recognizes replied to him and they were having a conversation in my head. Its like i was hearing a conversation but i knew it was in my head. 



Anyone else have this? I read a lot of things can cause this and some ppl have it going to sleep and coming out of sleep from dreams.

It happens to me often and usually at the late afternoon when I am tired. My psychiatrist said the same thing you stated about it happening when one is falling asleep or waking up. This is true but I'm not always dozing off in my chair when it happens. So far it's just been conversational voices so I'm not really concerned. If it become negative or frightening I will inform my psychiatrist again.

My experience with auditory hallucinations is that they occurred either while I was using certain anti-psychotic medication OR when I needed to be using anti-psychotic medication. The hallucinations were very disturbing to me.

The pdoc said it hypnogogic hallucinations. Im on seroquel and he said that should help with it.

If it's hypnogogia it's nothing to worry about - I think at least a third of people (like all people) experience it - it's just one of the brain quirks and is quite healthy.

Ya its not negative or anything just freaked me out when i heard a voice talking back to my husbands voice i didnt know.
I had really bad acohol induced psychosis and that was scary the voices and such were always trying to kill me

Once your on a higher dose they should get better.

    I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...
