Sorry I haven't been on DS lately. I fell and broke my right shoulder. Waiting for the last week to see the orthopedic surgeon for my MRI results. I'm right-handed, so I've been trying not to use my shoulder as much as I can. I'll let you know the results, some time after tomorrow. In the meantime, I've been off work for going on almost 2 weeks (I'm on disability, but count on my part-time job cashiering to pay all my bills). At the same time, I have a sore in my mouth that I've had for about 4 weeks now. I went to see the dentist and he gave me a prescription of antibiotics that did NOT get rid of the sore or infection. I smoke. Of course, the first symptom of mouth cancer is a sore in your mouth that doesn't go away. All of this just makes me want to smoke more. I see my PCP tomorrow for a PE and, of course, will have her check out the sore on my gums. I'm really worrried about both my MRI results about my shoulder (do I need surgery?) and my mouth sore. I'm having a lot of anxiety about these issues.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
I hope that you'll heal quickly …. If the mouth sore is persisting I would go back to see your doctor/dentist..... xo
It's hard to avoid anxiety when dealing with health issues. We're listening, if you care to share.
