Having Trouble coping lately

With the upcoming holiday my anxiety level is definitely increasing....I don't even want to decorate for Christmas, I set some things out in the living room and feel totally uncomfortable right now because I had to move things around in order to put out some decorations.....I'm to the point where I am about to un-decorate and put my usual things back where they belong. Don't know whats up this year at me, I usually am all stoked about the decorations but this year it's causing me great discomfort and everything feels unclean and dirty right now and I am about to freaking lose it. Could use some help right now, not sure what to do but cry!

I don't know what you can do honey. But I did want to let you know I hope you get to feeling better soon. I don't decorate for the holidays. I have seven cats in my house and my family is not interested in cleaning up after themselves. So right now I am trying to just concentrate on cleaning up the house. It's really messy. Maybe talk to your pdoc about it?

Thanks I appreciate your feedback....the feeling subsided, after the help with a klonopin....:-). My OCD was kicking into high gear there for a few minutes.....don't like too much change and when holiday roll around there i change!!!!

Im so sorry you're feeling like this sweetie.. Great big hug for you.. perhaps put it away for a couple of weeks and then revisit it again.. a little time can make a big difference..xo

I've found , as I get older, the Holidays aren't as meaningful to me...I start thinking about past Thanksgivings and big family gatherings...now my family is pretty much spread out....it's those longings for The Good Old Days , I think , that get me to feeling stressful

I hope you can get through this feeling and enjoy your Christmas !

Oh I do know where you are coming from. I have felt the very same way this year! And I feel guilty b/c I'm supposed to be excited....just not feelin' it. I just wish I could press a "fast forward" button and it would be January. I'm glad you are feeling better now. Hugs xo

(((Tats69))) gentle hugs. I dont decorate for Christmas either. i havent in years. I used to LOVE Christmas and it really was fun. But since my family started hating me, its not been the same. Well I don't know what to say, but do what's comfortable for you to do. Relax its just another holiday. It will be over before you know it

    So I have been having a lot of health issues and my cardiologist felt that he didn't get clear enough images of my heart in the office, so he wanted to do a Trans-esophegeal heart Echocardiocgram in the hospital. I was pretty nervous about it, because I've never had any procedures related to my heart or any other major organs. I've had knee surgery and thyroid surgery, but to me anything to do...
