Having a "Blue Day"

Im in class and I just feel like I dont want to be here. Usually I love being here and learning and I really enjoy it. But something is different today. I didnt even want to come, but I did. But now that im here im ready to go. I just want to go home and stay in bed. I just want to be alone and sleep. This is odd for me. Anyone else have these types of days? Its not that im depressed, im just....blah, really. Any tips on how to bring myself out of it?

I hate that feeling. Being out of place, being observed....

Sometimes, specially where there is many people I feel like I'm going to freakout and run away (actually I did a couple of times).

I get them occasionally and I really am not a good person to offer much advice. I'm sure the worst thing to do is lay around the house and watch TV, but that seems to be what I do when that happens to me.

It seems like I wake up that way and spend the rest of the day trying to not be blah...I usually take a shower, get all cleaned up while listening to some upbeat music dancing around, drinking a cup of hot tea always gives me some energy!!! hope any of this helps..Surround yourself with upbeat people!!

misty, you say this is "odd" for you so I assume it doesnt happen often. Is it possible you are just tired? Going to school and dealing with the stress sometimes can cause us to just want to shut down. Maybe fighting your way through it so you dont miss the classes and promise yourself you will go home and relax and veg out. If it begins to happen more often, it may be an indication of depression and you would want to talk to your pdoc. Take care of you and relax this weekend....xo

me too. im so unmotivarted today but i then remebred to take my wellbutrin and drank a second cup of coffee..i prayed for you. hopefuly we both will feel better maybe its the weather...

That used to be so much a part of my normal experience, I thought it was normal....lack of energy can be a symptom of depression. Sometimes, just getting moving ~~ some fresh air, focused on something that requires some physical activity ~~ helps pull me out of it. But other times, I am so low, I just need the rest and wait it out. If you've been more active than usual lately, you just might be running on empty.... ((( hugs )))

join a group on here such as Don't give up or Serenity Room. I feel so much better.

I get that at times, not really depressed but more "meh". Going for run or watching a favorite movie would sometimes bring me out of it. Having a warm dog/cat cuddled in your lap works too :)
