Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I'm doing a LOT of thinking about this.
SamW I like what your dad said.. that's another view.
Since being diagnosed my brother and sister bully me, my father bullied me, I was bullied at jobs and in relationships all because of the stigma of mental illness. Have been there a lot in my life...yes down with bullies but it's pretty hard when you are mentally ill sometimes.
When I went to Continuation School the bullying stopped. I had more friends then they did because they went to C School too and I wouldn't back down anymore. It also helped to be friends with the 7 ft. Black Guy.
But the day before, he went to buy me lunch off campus and I didn't have enough money to pay him. I told him I'd pay him the next day. Didn't know I'd never see him again. That's when my husband so sweetly said, "So you owe a dead guy money." Bizarro thought. On we go.
Now my mouth does get me in trouble with angry outbursts and it is possible I did that in high school some too, I guess? Not really sure as I don't remember large chunks of my childhood.
