Had a bad dissociative episode.

I don't remember it but everyone says I thought I was someone called Alice...which might be a coincidence as I have a voice called Alice.
I remember nothing, it happened Sunday night but ever since I've felt I'm half in and out of reality.
The crisis team got involved but I told them I didn't want their help as I don't find them of any use. I have 3 voices Alice (14), Katherine (32) and Damien (40's)- whom is the worst.
I live with my injured husband and 3 year old.... What if Damien comes out? He's aggressive, big ego, nasty. Catherine is seductive, manipulative and is a bit evil. Alice is polite, innocent and distant- so I'm a little relieved she came out rather than a the others but what if they do?!
It seems to be a nocturnal thing-my dissociative states, I've not had an alter come out before Sunday.

I've had dissociative episodes too. My thing is that I had one in front of my oldest sister several years ago,I don't remember most of it but Charlene says it was pretty bad. If it was that bad I don't want to remember it. It's scary to know that somewhere in my brain are the details of what happened and I pray they stay hidden. It was the same way years ago when I visited the Holocaust memorial in Israel. I remember going in and coming out but I don't remember anything I saw in there. I have an extremely sensitive nature so it's probably for the best.

Big hug for you Dannie....I would think that the crisis team can help you... It often takes a med tweak of some type either an increase in something or a med added to combat psychosis... Have you called your pdoc?......Aggressive, nasty and a three year old is no good for either of you sweetie....xo

I've had another epidode since this post. I told the crisis team I didn't want their help as I don't think they can help...but what else do Ido?!

That's a hard one. The only thing I can think of is to see your psychiatrist for antipsychotics which may or may not work. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I have had one happen to me, but remember it a little, like waking up from a dream an talking in your sleep. My bipolar did this one time to me. But I fight being what I call the lazy fat girl, my personality does change a little, and when I am skinny, I become different too.. I think its so chemical, off balance of my levels in my brain when this happens. And when I am stressed with things I change.. I am also a hs person.

I realize that you don't think the Crisis Team can help, but have you thought that maybe your thinking might be skewed? Maybe your judgement isn't at its peak right now... you have to think of your 3 yr. old. Like you said, "what if one of the more aggressive ones come out?"

Do you see a private Psychiatrist? If so, have you talked to him/her and discussed what needs to be done since your having these episodes now? It sounds like you need some adjustment to your meds. If the Crisis Team is your only Psych care, you may not have much choice but to let them help you....because you do need some help right now in order to keep yourself and your family safe.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
