In a few weeks they will be launching groups here on DS... This is exciting to me because this will allow for us to chat and help someone as a group like in the situation I had..

I got the same survey when I logged on. I think it will be nice to have private chat rooms.

DS members have had chat rooms in the past, they just were not able to be viewed by DS overseers. Members have also sved lives through master detective work and working together right here on this board in the past through use of the internet and telephone.

I think it will be great to help someone in crisis.

But just for SOME ppl to go off to chat. Then others will feel left out if they are not invited.

The board will die. Newbies will not know what is going on or get invites since no one will know them or trust them yada yada yada.

Just my opinion.

It will not replace the board, just add another option.

But with that option the click's (I know I mis spelled that) will go off on their own.

I'm afraid too many will be left out.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

i can see group chats as being like aol chat rooms.....a few friends that chat about inside jokes and stories and outsiders will be able to enter but feel unwelcome. If im wrong im wrong...

I took the survey and the chat rooms at least the way I understood it are by invite only. One person opens one and invites who they want there.
