Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
If your daughter is younger, maybe your patience with her is greater. You might explore your relationship with your step daughter too. You may be harbouring some underlying resentment toward her because of her behavior. I am sure she is struggling too with the adjustment of a blended family.
I think it is important to remember that we cant control the situation always but we can control our own behavior and think before we act. Otherwise, it is just a vicious cycle. The more she misbehaves, the more you react. The more you react, the more she misbehaves.
I hope you can work through it.

You're not the only one.
A good option for you here is to talk to your husband and set boundaries for your step daughter and yours. Discuss things that you agree on together to enforce with both of them. Things that you will not tolerate and consequences they will have.
It is important to agree on how you handle things ahead of time so you dont argue about it in front of them and give them ammunition to use against you. It really boils down to respect that they should both have for both of you. Hugs
Its always a work in progress with kids. Hugs

"I believe the children are our future,
Teach them well and let them lead the way,
Show them all the beauty they possess inside,
Give them a sense, of pride,
To make it easier,
Let the children's laughter,
Remind us how we used to be..."
