Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
this morning I am grateful for 3 and 1/2 hrs of good sleep in my lovely warm comfortable bed. It is twenty years old but I still think of it and appreciate is as my 'new bed' ha ha.
As always I am very happy to have a roof over my head in a nice quiet spot in a small village with oil heating installed as I can no longer lift solid fuel for the range.
The plumber is to come today or tomorrow to disconnect the range in my kitchen which I can no longer use as I am unable to lift the fuel needed. It will give me wonderful extra space in my kitchen, perhaps to put in two small comfy armchairs and i can finally get it painted so am very much looking forward to that.
I just had a delicious bowl of oatmeal with blueberries, honey and orange pieces which was yummy and am enjoying a huge mug of hot tea.
I am so pleased with all the progress this week with clearing my house, filling bags for charity with the encouragement of ML for which I am extremely grateful.
it is pelting down sleet and snow outside just now and increased gratitude for being inside in the warmth. I often worry about Heritic at this time, she has been absent for some time now and her wit was always an added boon to our days.
a bg thank you and hugs for the ongoing support here on DS which eases my life enormously.
and oh, the joy and pleasure of an epsom salts bath with essential oils in my immediiate future once the house is warm enough. Yay.
check in and just say hello if you are around.
Please add anything that comes to mind.
thank you in advance.

Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

I am grateful tonight that I am ready to relax for the weekend and
a friend called this afternoon and another this evening.
I am expecting another friend tomorrow evening so more company than I have had in a while.
As they say here in Ireland 'it is either a feast or a famine!'
I am very grateful for everyone here on DS.
Hugs and hopes for a good Saturday.
But then decided to box up all the Fall pumpkin decorations and put out the Christmas decorations, i.e. snowmen, penguins and Nativity's. Not putting a tree up because I just don't have the energy to fight with the cat. But I did string lights around the bookcases...thinking in my "not in reality" mind that she'd leave those alone. Hah..not. So I've decided it she keeps screwing with them and bites them and gets her but zapped, she'll learn not to mess with the bright colorful lights. Its all about tough love....or lack of patience....maybe they're the same thing.
Glad you're having lots of company Irish!!
I'm grateful for all of you.... It's nice that you enjoy fishing Mojo... I'll check out the link... A lot of people find it soothing.... I would until I caught a fish.... haha
It's really stunning J!!
I am grateful for a good laugh exchanging gifs via skype.
I am grateful for having a lovely, relaxing day with no stress.
I am grateful for a pot of soup which has yielded six dinners!
I am grateful for all the support which got me through the last few days.
Please add. Big fat hugs to all.
Peaceful...oh yeah. I know you write poetry Irish. I think you'd find this place conducive to deep thought. Even the bears here are polite and mostly silent. I see at least one pretty much every time I go here. Mostly little black bears that take off fast when they hear me.
And if you eat rainbow trout, they're probably the healthiest fish on the planet. Could probably drink straight from rainforest streams if one had to.
I'm grateful for my in laws giving us a place to live for very cheap. I'm only working part time and in school and my husband has MS so we would have no where to live if it weren't for them. I'm grateful for my family and my son, my supportive husband, my animals, and we just got a new car a couple weeks ago so I'm thankful for God blessing us with that.
Mojo, there are few things I would enjoy more than going to cathedral grove with you and jan. It sounds so beautiful. Roll on the invention of portals, now that, I would be very grateful for.
This morning - it is 8am here and I had an astonishing 4 hrs sleep before the pain in my hands made itself known.
I am grateful that my coffee is hot and clearing away the cobwebs from my mind.
I feel a little less down this morning as the last week has been a difficult one due to CPTTSD stressors. I am grateful that it is improving.
I am grateful to have two MRI's on thursday and am hoping they will yield some answers.
I am grateful to have finally spoken to my sister last night who had been silent for about two weeks and she is doing ok. I also caught a glimpse of my niece who looks beautiful as always although she is now 15yrs old and I have not met her since she was a baby. They live in CA so a portal would come in handy there too.
I am grateful that the last couple of days of mostly rest are bringing my pain levels from and 8/9 back down to my normal 6ish so perhaps today I might get some things done or even just be recovered enough to do the hour's drive to the hospital tomorrow and at the same time stock up on some food.
I am grateful that I sold a tablet this week and can now take care of taxing my car for another three months without feeling too much of a pinch.
I am grateful that I found what looks like a lovely small couch on Freecycle (I think they have that in the US too) for my kitcen.
I am grateful that wolfgang collected it for me and hopefully it will get here in the next couple of weeks.
I am grateful that my daughter's 'big' audition felt like it went well for her and she enjoyed the whole experience regardless of the outcome. It would be great if she got the part, it is for a big movie but getting asked to audition for this one can only mean that there will be more to come.
I am grateful for the fact that I am on annual leave right now and can take the time to get organised in my home and continue to de-c;utter.
please continue to add as it is a huge boost to read of everyone's good collections of moments withing our lives.
hugs all round and thank you for all contributions to date. You all have given me many smiles for which i have much gratitude.
Hope all those celebrating today are having plenty of good food and collecting great memories.
Tonight I am grateful for my lovely warm bathroom and a long hot essential oil bath - excellent pain relief and relaxation.
I am grateful I am having an MRI tomorrow and hopeful for some answers.
I am grateful for my car and the ability to drive myself there.
I am grateful to have met all of you here on DS.
Happy Thanksgiving.
please add.
Right now after some mediation and hot tea I am back in grateful mode, thankfully.
I am grateful that the temparature has risen above zero so the cold is not too intense.
I am astonished and grateful to have Christmas shopping done and ready to be gift wrapped. I even picked up the stocking fillers.
I am grateful that wolfgang call about twenty minutes ago and is bringing the sofa today. I'm a bit worried about the size (advertised as a small two seater sofa but wolgang says it is heavy and it sounds bigger than I had thought. At least he said that if it is not suitable he will drop it off to the charity shop on the way home,
I am grateful that I have pancakes for lunch when he arrives and I can defrost a bit portion of soup for dinner with some toasted BLT's.
I am now grateful that the sofa is here and in my kitchen and is perfect and it was free on freecycle which my son only told me about last friday. A lot can happen in a week!
I am grateful that I was in a position to send him some actual help.
I am grateful to be warm.
I am grateful that my own mind is usually good company.
I am grateful that the awful blisters/ulcers in my mouth of the past few months are finally easing so eating is less painful.
I am bloody grateful to still have some time off work as I am absolutely not up to it right now.
I am grateful that opportunities for my daughter continue unabated and her spirits are good. Her BP has been in remission for some time now but I continue to be watchful to catch her when she falls/stumbles. Luckily, she seems vigilant too.
I am grateful to be inside during this awful storm raging outside with a flask of coffee and tea made and another one with soup so it is all good.
please add. (Humour me, I sadly need the contact!)
I am grateful that I have a PT appointment tomorrow and hope that this time she does not just send me home without doing anything. (i'll give it another try at least)
I am grateful that I have finished clearing the last two rooms and beds are made up for any guests at christmas. all I have to do now is wash some door, vacuum and drop off some more bags to charity.
is anyone reading these any more?
If so, please add.
