I didn't want to believe my doctor when he said that the drainage down my throat was caused from the psych meds I take. I am home sick because my sinuses are draining down my throat and making my throat sore. My sinuses are having a field day today. So I talked to CVS pharmacist and he said the exact same thing my doctor said. WTF What about Lithium. Does that cause drainage down your throat. I need to switch my psych meds because I can't tollerate my sinuses draining down my throat all the time! HELP!

Geodon can cause that when you first start it but then it goes away. You feel like you have a cold. In my case it was very temporary.

Mine never stopped unfortunately......My sinuses still drain down my throat.

Maybe it is not the Geodon doing it. I have never heard anyone else complain of it continually. Maybe it is just your sinuses and the dr doesn't know what he is talking about?

I'm on geodon and never had a problem with it. never heard of any psych med causing sinus problems

I wouldn't believe it if it were just the doc talking about it but the doc and the pharmacist say that this can happen because of the psych meds I take. I need a new med. What about Lithium? Does Lithium have this side effect?
BipolarPrincess
Talked to yet another pharmacist and they said the same thing the other doctor and the other pharmacist said that geodon can cause drainage down your throat. I need a new med. Anyone got any options?

Hey Princess. I had the same thing with Geodon. I can't take it and it is listed as one of my med allergies now. Hope you get it resolved soon.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
