Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

"I HAVEN"T REALLY HEARD TOO MUCH FROM YOU FOR QUITE AWHILE, SO IF I"M NOT MISTAKEN, YOU'RE NOT REALLY INTERESTED IN BEING FRIENDS SO I'M REMOVING YOU FROM MY FRIENDS LIST"
So I guess there are acquaintances who are almost friends . . . .and acquaintances who are almost enemies. Arrgghhhh. Don't people suck (except for me)? LOL
We may not correspond with each other for six, eight months or more. We rarely have opportunities to see each other in person, but when we do see each other or talk on the phone or send emails and cards, we pick up right where we left off~~almost as if time had stopped but now suddenly it has started again.
Proximity, time and daily contact has little to do with defining friendship; in my mind true long-lasting friendship is a spiritual, kindred connection that is never doubted, never broken beyond repair and never forgotten.
I believe if we have only one true friend during the course of our lifetime, we are tremendously blessed.
Relationships with acquaintances vary greatly in degrees of intensity depending on the circumstances or environment that bring people together. I use the term "friend" loosely in that I have friends from work, friends from church, friendly neighbors, or just people I have known for a very long time and who have known me, etc.
I sometimes worry that I should build stronger relationships with some of my acquaintances as I know friendships are very important. But it takes effort that I just don't have most of the time.
I lost a true friend last week in a car accident, he was a true friend, that would really have been there for me when I needed him, now I only have another 3, whom are scattered around the globe and I didn't even tell them I am Bipolar, they may not understand.
Even my parents turned out to be acquaintances, lol
I have now, my wife, my pdoc and DS, that's my circle.

Sara who I do believe knows ALL my secrets, lives in my head and I would trust with anything as I know even tho we fight (some weeks alot) that in the end even tho she may not understand or agree with something I do she finds a way to still be my friend and still love me
