I'm in Michigan, and I get SSD. No one ever said anything to me about free plates or license renewal for having bipolar disorder. I had to pay for mine.

I think you are thinking of the handicapped license plate, which is something special for people who are physically unable to walk very far, and need to be able to park in the handicapped parking near the door. It was my impression that they still had to pay for those, but I may be wrong.

I think Tennessee does, but I do not disclose my disability for fear of having my license taken away due to having klonapin prescribed. Paranoia? Maybe, but I would rather be safe than sorry. My dosage is not high enough to warrant such action, yet since it is a medication used for epilepsy, I worry that someone will make assumptions and try to stop me from driving.

i was thinking about the discounted fishing licenses in wisconsin, for disabled persons. that would be more interesting to me, cuz i would be scared also about my meds and them letting me drive if i pursue free licenses. but i don't think wisconsin has that anyway.

my bad i was just looking at the reciept it is because I am a disabled veteran but my aunt said she gets them free for her disability get this she is blind. I guess it is for when her dog drives her to the store :o

I dontknow butmy word of advice about license plates iiiiiissssssssss:
Take ductape and a key toyour car and key to your house and take off the licnse plate and duct tap themto it.Thenput your plate back on. Magnetic boxes fly off. Triple A is free but making the lost key is expensive

good idea auntf i've got one of those expensive keys with the mcrochip in it too.

Duct tape residue on your key is nasty. I advise keeping a bottle of rubbing alcohol or Goo Gone in your glove box. Otherwise, you will turn off the ignition, but be unable to remove the key from the ignition! Ditto for the house key - you can unlock the door, but you can't remove the key in order to relock the door from the inside!!!
