As bipolar individuals we have all heard all about our symptoms and how bad they are. We all have dealt with ignorance of others and the stigma that is placed upon us.
So lets "flip-flop" things for just a moment. What are some symptoms or conditions of bipolar that we can focus on to put things on a more positive note? What are some of the strengths of bipolar?
I will start....
I find strength in the creativity that my bipolar mind has when it comes to art and writing.
I take pride in the fact that most research has lead to show that those with bipolar have higher IQ's.
I also find strength in the fact that my racing thoughts can be utilized for quick problem solving and critical thought about different situations and the world.

You may recall I write that my sister and he husband were in an affair with my brothers wife. It's been almost a year. Mom last week asked me to invite my sisters boys to a birthday at my house for my brothers daughter. I was on my way to pick up the boys when my mom called and told me to turn around. Apparently my brother didn't know my nephews were coming and he was livid. I came home to a...

Thanks for the great post. I think I remember reading that individuals who suffer from the 'bipolar' condition are highly artistic, creative, and driven people. There are many famed celebrities who suffer from this health condition - namely Catherine Zeta-Jones, Demi Lovato, Chris Brown, Amanda Bynes, and several others.
I pride myself on the fact that I am a productive, motivated, and energetic type of a person.
I love being creative and able to think on my feet when needed.
we rock in so many ways - go us!
It's hard to think of the positive side of being a beeper but I appreciate this a lot...

humour is a great help too.
Bluemood82.... There was a time when I felt the same way you did. There was a long period of time when I struggled to find any beauty in this world and myself. When I was first diagnosed I was severely depressed and I thought that my life was over at that point. I was ashamed of our condition and I feared that others would find it as a weakness in me. Trying to stay positive when you are bipolar is a very hard thing to do. It is much easier said then done. It took me many years (counting the 4-5 years prior to diagnosis in 2009) to find my place in this world. Took me many years to learn how to manage and learn how to adjust to living as a "beeper" ( I love that by the way MayB. lol)
It is a struggle. So Bluemood82, my main question for you ....... Is there anything that any of us can do to help? All of us are here for you and we may have many different ideas on helping to ease the struggles for you. I am sure that all of us have been there. Adapting is the hardest part I think. Please message me if you would like to have a more personal conversation about the subject.
