Hi everyone.
I know I suddenly went missing from the board. My depression got so bad I couldn't trust myself to not end it all in a weak moment. I have a pact with hubby and Pdoc that when that happens I'll let hubby know and he'll take me to the Recovery Center - a place I chose - that takes my insurance. The Pdocs there kept me for 2 weeks!! They said I wasn't aware of how severe the depression was. They changed nearly all my meds and we couldn't get the depression to lift even a tiny bit for the first week. The second week we saw a slow rise to mid range depression.
I've been home almost a week now but i am still very tired. Not entirely out of the woods yet. But I'm much better than I was.

I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I am really impressed how you handled yourself! When you're feeling up to it could you talk about the Recovery Center. I don't have any plan in case I need it.
So glad the med change is working,
Whether you know it or not your an inspiration in self-care and self preservation!
A quality some of us lack especially when severely depressed.
Here's to a happy recovery. Two weeks is a long time! I hope the med changes are good ones. Good to hear from you!
