was obviously taking my wife's side and I felt there was nothing to be gained. And there wasn't.
When I started to attend therapy (22 years ago) I remember the therapist suggest we SHOULD take family sessions, but they didn't want. I was very upset with my parents because they abandoned me to deal with therapy since I was a little girl.
Now, it doesn't work, but I don't blame then anymore. I forgave them although it took me a lot of years of therapy.
I think that be in a therapy process requires to be brave. Some people just don't have the strength and the emotional and intellectual ability to do it.
I hope you will feel better and in some point forgive your parents.
