Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I may try group therapy soon once the dust settles.
I wish I had more to offer.
Suffering, I hope you find the relief that you need.
tommy, I'm sorry that things went the way that they did for you. This approach is actually more geared toward educating the other members of the household - in this case my mom and dad - about my disorder, and about how their behavior and even just the way that they speak and the things that they say can be incredibly detrimental and triggering to me. Anyway, there wouldn't be much point in packing, I've got nowhere to go, except to live in my car.
How do they feel about going to this therapy?
Can you call a University medical center in your state and ask them how the therapy works so that your mom and dad dont think things will be coming down on THEM?
My brother and sister in law and my sister are christian ministers or christian counselors and theyy THINK they know BP and they dont really. One just said theother day oh I heard about a med you should try (#$@%)!!!. one callsmy schizzo whenever I make decision different then hers for a "heavy decision" andmy brother wont let me drive his kids anywhere.
Hopes things go well for you
