Disturbed -- I don't live in Edmonton, but I have issues with weather and depression. It's hard when you can't get out into the sun or there are just extended periods where you don't even have sun outside!

i am in chesapeake va where it is 70 degrees and pouring right now...you don't have to be cold to be depressed by the weather!

I've been out in weather that cold plenty of times, but never with a toddler!!!! I don't envy you!!!! I don't blame you for being fed up with it. I hope it lets up soon! (((((hugs)))))

It has been snowing like crazy down here in Ontario too. It's been snowing non stop since late last night. It does get depressing, any weather where the sun doesn't shine sucks!

It is so cold there it must be hard to bare.. Im in Toronto and believe me Im so sick of this winter.. it is depressing.. we need sunshine and warmth... hurry up spring!

This has been a mild winter for us (I also live in Virginia) but last winter we were pounded over and over by snow. I was so depressed I felt like crawling under my sofa. Have you considered getting a SAD lamp? I have two of them and generally they help a lot.

I can only imagine what it's like to have it be that cold and I was born in Minnesota. I live in California now so I"m spoiled.

The weather really can affect our moods and our ability to feel like we are not isolated and are free to go places. Sorry you feel so shut-in.

I'm from Edmonton. I just went to Nelson BC for a break, and found it wasn't a lot better. I take comfort in knowing it is snowing in Vancouver, Victoria and Portland Oregon.

There are ways to beat Seasonal Affective Disorder. One is plan a trip south. Another is to take AD's winter only. Another is to fight it with busyness. The best way is to move. I lived in BC from 1973 till 2000, and never had it once. And believe me, cloudy, raining and +12 is much easier to take than brutal cold and that little ball of light up there in the sky that everyone here seems to think is the sun. LOL

I'm spending the winter in St.John New Brunswick(And I have traveled extensively through North America), not only is this the Shit Hole Capital of the world, it has snowed 20 cm this afternoon and it's getting down to -20 Celsius this evening. Give me a blunt object I'm going to beat myself to death.

I feel for ya TM.. glad Im not on the east coast that's for sure!
