Did not get much/any feedback under treatments so posting here:
There is a high possibility that ECT may be an option very soon in my treatment (have an appointment on Friday). None of the medications I have been on work (or if they do it is VERY little).
I have read some information on it from here:

but that is the hospitals take on it.
I want to get advice from people who have had it done:
Do you need to take time off work?
Can you drive afterwords? Or if not how long are you not allowed to drive?
It says multiple treatments are needed? The way it was told to me by my psychologist is that it seemed like 1 treatment only?
What kind of side effects did you experience and how bad where they?
Some of the more severe ones I have read said long term memory loss (from months to years ago) and short term memory loss (like stuff you do right after the treatment, you forget, and do you remember that stuff later, or is it just gone?
Other benefits said you have increased concentration and improvements in intelligence and stuff.
How was the treatment? Did it have a large/significant improvement on depression/bipolar?
Was it worth it?
Once you had it done did you have to go back for another set of treatments or was it more of a permanent fix?
Did you still have to take meds afterwords?
Any advice would help, thank you in advance.

Do those memories from the past couple weeks come back? Or do you have to use your notebook to remember them? (i.e. if you didnt have your notebook you would never remember then?)
The end question though, was it worth it still even though the pain and memory loss?
