I do it every night. With Geodon, Klonopin and Melatonin. Found the melatonin in a time release form. Now I even stay asleep.

Don't give up on taking the Geodon. It has certainly helped me with the whole sleep thing.

I am so depressed today, I just want to sleep it away. So, yeah, I'll probably sedate myself with some xanax. I only get 30/month, though, so I can't over do it or I won't have enough to last through the month.

atm its all I seem to be doing.... extra seroquel with valium.... on the rare ocassion I'll have a couple of beers but then I can't sleep........... round and round it goes....

I used to mix any pill I could find with a wide selection of alcohol. Turns out that's not a really good idea. I ended up in the hospital. Now I am allowed 2mgs of Klonopin during the day and 2at bedtime along with 600 mgs of Seroquel. In addition I take benadryl, valerian, and melatonin. I'd say that qualifies as sedation but sleep is a huge deal for me. Even one night of bad sleep can spark an episode. I have been known to take more than prescribed but I am a recovering alcoholic/addict and pdoc knows this so she counts my pills pretty close.

usually take trazadone... 50 mg used to help but right now it's up to 200 mg

between anxity med and geodon med and depression is enough for me. And when I get the giggles everyone laughts with me.
Am not a pharmist nor Dr so am not tampering w meds nor risking my life.

I have a daily schedule that I go by which includes task so Am ready for my 9pm meds and restful reg rest on reg schedule.Plus I will not watch the news nor action pack movies - which seems to interupt my night time beauty rest.

Geodon and mg that am on works for me. am suppose to take it a 5pm w 500cal meal but there's nothing to do at 1 am when I wake so I take it at 9pm.

Please dont tamper with meds nor combinations.

Yrs ago I knew not to call EMS for Icould send them away w/o me, so I called 911 and gave writen instruction to officer to get me to hospital asap, it worked, I got my meds and some what of a vacation.

I have a PRN script from my pdoc for this type of thing. If I get overly agitated etc... You might ask your pdoc for the same, they usually have no problem with this.

I kind of do what DAncing is doing...if I have a really bad day...take my seroquel and go to bed. Some mornings...when I don';t want to face another day..take more seroquel and go back to bed..this isn't often and when I say take seroquel..it's 100 mgs and klonopin is 1 mg......I never over do it. Now at 50 yrs. old..I do what I can do to make my life easier.

Unfortunately..most of us do! I have days I just want to skip and would rather sleep through. Benedryl puts me to sleep as long as I am not manic!

Holy Crap. I'm surrounded by a bunch of sedated beepers. This thread has more replies than the sex threads...so I guess we like sedating ourselves more than they hypersexuality?

But seriously, for me, the Geodon is great b/c it takes the "fight or flight" chemicals out of your system right away...its been a Godsend for my PTSD and has helped with my insomnia. Yeah, I'm uninsured and it costs $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ but when you've been on as many meds as I have and you are going out of your mind living in PTSD hell, you will pay anything for a drug that people say has given them their life back. My pdoc didn't have samples, either...and I'm trying to get mine free, too, but will have to wait. Until then, I will PAY b/c it truly is my miracle drug. Give it a chance...it might work for you too...

Well, that Geodon that I was supposed to get fell through. With ins. it's $188/month! All in one day it went from Geodon to Risperdol to Haldol. I've got OCD hell about meds then this! So once again I have to say WTF!?!?!?! Am freaking! I can't take the haldol, right now I literally can not take the med.
