I am feeling flat and have no motivation to do anything. I do not know if it is the meds - Geodon, Topamax, Zypreka, Zoloft. I have been on them for 4 weeks now. So they should all be working I think. Either I am not on a right combo or still depressed. I hate this not feeling anything or doing anything.. I see med DR in Jan. I saw my therapist Wed and felt like it was a complete waste of time. I just do not care. I was so hoping to start 2016 in a better state of mind. I am trying to use the tools I learned in hospital to get into a positive state of mind but I have not mastered them yet. Just venting is helping though thanks for being here group.

My worst experience with the flat effect was when I was using haldol and thorazine many years a go. I looked at it as a mixed blessing. Although I've never used the meds you list I'd suspect them of being involved so it's good you have an upcoming appointment. It sounds to me that you have a good attitude and that counts for a lot.

After years of hypomania and low level manic episodes, when I got medicated and felt flat and blunted...... my Pdoc told me that was " Stable"

Some meds make you more blunted than others. Zyprexa and Topomax are real mood flatteners

...or they haven't started working yet. I've had no emotions and no feelings and couldn't care less about anything since before Xmas. Definitely depression. I hate it.

Big hug for you and a blessing Cheryl... I'm glad you're seeing a doctor for your meds soon... A month although it may seem like a while isn't considered very long to find the right med regime... As hard as it is it's important that you try and be patient through the process... xo

Thank you for the replies I am so ready to just stop the meds. I know I can;t I don't want to be back in hospital. I guess I better call DR and see if I can get in earlier. If this is stable I don't know if I can handle it. I have to go see my 8 nieces and nephews tomorrow to celebrate Christmas with them and I want to cancel I don't want them to see fun Aunt Cheryl like this. The worse part is I find no joy at the thought of seeing them. It plain old sucks.

We have to stay on our meds and fight until we get on the best ones for us. I am just starting to get out of my depression awful flat no motivation feeling to have around the Holidays but now I my energy is coming back private message me if you want to know what I did to feel better.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
