does cold make you tired?

Lately my house has been cold due to circumstances.

Now I've been sleeping even more than usual which is a lot to start out with. Basically I've been sleeping all day and some of the night too. I don't get out of bed because it's too cold to. Then I fall asleep.

I feel so messed up because of it. Is it the cold doing this?

i know i do get sleepy when it's cold, and i tend to want to do the same..

I find it often happens to me as Fall turns into Winter.. The lack of sunlight.. more dismal days can often lead to depression.. I hope you feel better soon..Big hug for ya..xo

No. I find the cold and cloudy weather invigorating. It's the summer I hate.

It's 74 degrees here right now.

I don't know about going to sleep - but Cold and staying to sleep? YES!!! I can snuggle down, and Keep going back to sleep...

((((BIg hug)))) with depression is bad, because the more we sleep, the more we can sleep....

The cold depresses me and makes me wanna bundle up nice and cozy and I fall asleep.........I do not like the heat either though......I think I will move somewhere that is 70 degrees with a breeze year round LOL

Any kind of excessive heat or cold, makes me want to lay down and sleep.

But especially the cold..BRRR..I'm whimpy when it comes to weather

Growing up in the Santa Clara Valley in Cali..average yearly temp 68, I have no tolerance for too high, or too low of temps

i find being cold to be physically exhausting.

The weather over here in western canada is cold windy and wet which for me means lots of walking, can't get enough this time of year.

I wish I found the cold invigorating but instead it makes my joints ache.

I think if your house is cold it's different than taking a walk in the cold. My house was real cold, since part of my house no longer has power one of my heaters is off. I can't put two heaters on one circuit or it trips the breaker. actually I can hardly put any thing on any one circuit that's how weak the electric system in this crappy old house is.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
