I know I do. I need hugs and smiles and pats on the back. One of the ladies ar church I am especially fond of, Lori, sits with me on Sunday. I always hug her or lean onto her or hold her hand during service. I need physical affection as a show of live and caring. Mom hates it but I need hugs from her daily. Dad does ya mind so much that I hug him too. I am very insecure so physical affection is very reassuring to me.
When it comes to other people, I don't Luke hugging strangers or when people crowd me. But for the people I love, I need to be near them.
just wondering does anyone else feel the same way?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
As I have gotten older, I became more inhibited.
Unless we're talking animal companions. I know you can relate to that. I would not mind a few golden retrievers within reach most of the time.
I have a very short list of people who I allow physical contact with: My Sig-Other, my sons and my MIL(mom). Other than that very short list of people, if someone touches me without permission, odds are they're going to get their body part removed and stepped back a few feet.
I don't do random touching and especially not by strangers.
Now my cat is a totally different story, she climbs all over me, sleeps with me, either curled up next to my tummy, under my armpit or on my head.
Mojo - I would love to have a golden retriever!
I've had a random older Sales Agent come into my office, and go to give me a hug, instead of a hand shake, and I literally step back and say, "I don't hug!" I say that rather a lot actually, or "I don't care to be touched!"
I do have 1 nice older lady at my Neuro's office who always does my labwork, and she somehow broke through my wall, she always hugs me goodbye and it doesn't make my skin crawl.
Yeah, but down South, and NC is way better than Texas, in Texas people touch you all damn day long....people just hug and grab, and put their hands on your shoulders and your back....
It can be a challenge.
With women, if its someone I kinda know, Ill do the fake kiss on the cheek, or cheek to cheek type thing.
