For me, water is very grounding and it can release serotonin. I love showers, baths, and being immersed in pools, lakes, and the ocean.
Using either sponges or washcloths feels so great against my skin! Trying pouring a large cup of water over your head when in the tub, or keep the shower running lightly and you can visualize being in a gentle waterfall. A cup of tea is nice too! A luscious towel is a great way to complete the experience!
And, it doesn't cost a thing!

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

Well, good morning to you!Today is National Roller Coaster Day. Are any of you going? It's also National Tell-A-Joke Day! Come up with some and share!I'm not bright with jokes these days, but I'll start:"Today I ordered a chicken and an egg from Amazon...I'll let you know." :D

My niece and I were just talking about this. She has never been swimming in the river or the lake or the ocean. She is 12 by the way and was asking if I had ever been in the big river.
About fifty-eleven times. (That's a lot of times.) I love jumping off a pier or a boat into the water. I love hitting an icy cold spot. I love the calming effect of just floating around. I even love the fishy smell while swimming.
That is just the river. The ocean - salty air, suntan lotion, the waves splashing, little drinks with little umbrellas - completely different experience.
The lake - my favorite place in the world to be. The water is calmer than the ocean or river. Just peace on earth.
when we used to tour Scotland and camp we used to wash in the Loch we were camping next too... and my was it bloody cold, lol.... but that was pretty awesome too.. just being in nature itself is so cool beyond words
and a nice hot bath with candles and a glass of wine.... sublime
yip I'm definitely a water babe at heart
i grew up competatively swimming, so i can't stand that, but there's nothing better than throwing on the 5 mil. wetsuit and playing in the waves up here.
I looooove pools, like at vacations and backyard, etc - love the shower, too, but I Hate baths.
...which is only relevant because except for backyard pools and the like, I HATE still water. NO ponds, No lakes....and no baths. No! idk why....
But I Loooove rivers, creeks, and I am Addicted to the ocean - draws me like a moth to a flame....my old psychologist had a Field Day with this one, I can tell you. lol
I LOVE it. Growing up we have an in-ground pool and I would spend the ENTIRE summer in there - from the time I woke up until it was time to bed! As I grew up and moved away from home and the pool I said goodbye to the water for a long time.
I also can't STAND the thought of a bath :-P BUT I could stand in a warm shower all day long! I re-discovered my love for the pool with my Orthopedic Dr sent me for water PT. OMG...I fell in love again! Although the work-outs with the physical therapist were sometimes difficult and almost ALWAYS exhausting I couldn't wait to go to each appointment. Walking in the warm water as it swished past me was the best part of my day. Now that my PT is done I LONG for the pool. There isn't a WARM pool nearby so I've put off continuing the exercises. Now that I'm back to working in the office though my back and hips are getting so painful again...I've starting thinking about trying to find the closest warm pool and just prioritizing it into my week!
