Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Also, I like to drum on the dressers with my hands. At the time, it's not so funny but looking back at that, I find it funny.
I asked a security guard once if it was OK to fart. This was right before I was 51-50d.
"Just doin' the butt!" I would dance around like a dork at the hospital.
I thought animals were trying to tell me things.
Scary yes, but funny after all is said and done.
I do things all the time and I"m so unaware of it until I go in public and realize people are looking at me like I'm a freak.
I embarrass the hell out of my kids every time we go into public. Why? Because there is no filter on my mouth. Thought goes in head comes straight out the mouth.
And I talk to myself in public too.
My expressions are like a cartoon, and I'm like a cartoon.
I hope that sums it up. But yeah I under stand that rock star thing I do shit like that too. I dance around all the time even though I suck at it, and I'm always doing things and have no awareness that I'm doing them until some one points it out to me.
I'm sure I do plenty of strange and quirky things....but that's just me and I can't really tell if it's funny or not.
It makes hanging around me fun but only if you don't embarrass easily or feel shame.
Like, what person who has bipolar doesn't like the mania, even a little bit? Sometimes, I wish I could just be manic for ten minutes, behind closed doors.
Gosh, that reminds me of the time I ran down a hospital hallway naked. Very sad at the time but I have to have a sense of humor about it now or it will just kill me forever. I feel sorry for the people who had to deal with me. I just wouldn't get into my hospital gown for some reason.
Or try to make a call on my TV remote.
But now that it's happened hundreds of time, it's lost all humor.
However, on the bright side, the other day I did something new!!!
I tried to click on a link on the computer monitor screen by aiming the TV remote at it and pressing 'Enter'!!!!
But my family find's it funny when I fall all over myself and everyone else when I take my med's!
