Do you find HUMOR in your illness?

I don't think bipolar disorder is funny at all but I have to laught at myself once in a while. Have you ever done anything funny during your manias or depressions?

lol...my mood changes with the weather and the guys in my class find it hilarious. If it's too sunny I get manic and start acting like a cat - everyone and everything pisses me off and I hiss and scratch people. It's like my mind shuts down and my feline instincts take over, and I don't really control what I say either. I'm also extremely distracted, offbeat and slightly paranoid. Lots of fun for the audience.

If I didn't laugh, I couldn't help but cry.

I don't find humor in the illness, but I do have to laugh at myself...

I talk to myself in public too, badly. I once left my phone connected with my mom while I was at the grocer and she texted me back all of the things I said to myself while in the store. humiliating but funny.

I also have a weak filter on my mouth and some of the things I say get me into huge trouble, altho at the time I mean no harm.
