Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
For many years, there's been a wonderful, kind, empassioned member here at DS who has unstintingly offered her support, advice, kindness, and shared her struggles with our community. She has been a true friend, a knowledgeable resource, and someone who understands fully what it means to be in the trenches fighting for a life of wellness and recovery. She has been one of my dearest friends and I count myself fortunate to have known her. I consider her a blessing in my life. And it is with great, unyielding sadness and regret that I share with all of you the news of Rubyblue's death on 8/15/2017. Funeral services were held on 8/25/2017. She passed peacefully in her sleep and I wish her well in the beyond. May she know the peace that so eluded her in this life, and may we all live her legacy of kindness and courage.

p.s. you other 3 know who i am
Ruby was my friend, my confidant, the person here on this platform that I knew I could always go to and say anything and there was comfort waiting for me. She was a wonderful person who was tormented by her inner demons non-stop, these past few months she'd spent so much time fighting this Disease and trying to get a place of stability....
My brain won't process yet that Ruby has passed, it still thinks I can find her in her journal or I'll have a message from her and she'll be there like she always has been. I hate this Disease so much, I hate that it takes people from our lives, I hate that we have to fight every damn day to keep it together. most of all I hate that it took my friend away.
The only thing that gives me a glimmer of peace is that I know Ruby is no longer suffering and living in her tortured world, I know she's happy and smiling and there is no depression or mania or sadness where she is now. I will miss my friend so much and can't imagine being around here without her.
Peace and Love to you Ruby, and peace to all the BP'ers out there.
