When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. I don’t know much about dissociation in complex terms. But I know that I’ve dissociated in the past. There’s been a lot in life I’ve blocked myself from so I can get through each day with focus and determination.

A Support Site like DS tends to be a somewhat safer option.
Social Media isn’t a good place for disssociation. I tend to think people not affiliated with mental health treatments in any way abuse anonymity and mess around on social media.
But a virtual support group and things like NAMI virtual support groups are more helpful. Still have to be careful and protect yourself but we have a community here so I do think you are in a good place here.
Twitter? Not so much.
