It took a 24 month waiting period of being on Social Security Disability (SSDI) for me to get Medicare. 24 months of being ill and unable to see any docs to get any better.
Now I finally have Medicare and NO ONE accepts it....or they accept it and it only covers 50%. There's no medication coverage, and if I opted for Rx coverage it would cost too much still for me to afford my medications.
What the hell is the point of disability? They don't give enough resources for you to get well enough to go back to work!

It costs an extra $55 per month just for the Rx coverage.
Abilify 5mg for 30 days = $75 (with medicare coverage)
Trileptal for 30 days= $75 (with medicare)
Seroquel for 30 days= $35 (with medicare)
Xanax for 30 days= $4 (with medicare)
That's an extra $250 a month that I cannot afford. Sure it's cheaper than paying out of pocket, but its still expensive for everything.
