Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

My moods have been all over the place. I find it hard to remember what I’ve been doing for the past month (it’s all “foggy” and it will take me awhile to remember), I’ve dropped weight (without trying or intentionally), and I just got discharged from the hospital. While I was in they took me off all my meds to “reset my levels”, but now I feel even worse than when I got admitted. I’ve been trying to tell my parents, but they all keep dismissing me and saying I sound so much better. I’ll go from a super “happy high” to a really low point where I’ll start crying for no reason and wishing I were dead. Before my admission, my doctors were trying to diagnose me bipolar, and they said I am (my mom refused to believe it and kept telling the doctor to take me off all my meds) I honestly don’t know what to do anymore...

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I see you are 16 - I assume your are in the US?
The doctors trying to diagnose you - were they psychiatrists?
perhaps some of the US based members can give you guidance re your rights to medical treatment
We have a chronic but treatable disorder..... This is a good place to come... I'm glad that you're here....xo
