Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Depakote blood test - your pdoc will routinely have your depakote level checked (via blood draw) to make sure your depakote level is therapeutic. This will tell him/her if you would benefit from more or less pills.
Blood pressure - this is not associated with depakote levels. Anxiety can raise your blood pressure significantly, which is why most of our blood pressures at the Dr's office are higher than normal (white coat syndrome). If you have a chronically high blood pressure, then it is worth looking into, there may be something else going on. You should discuss your concerns with your doc.
Numbness in hands/arms - this could be from electrolyte/vitamin deficients, vascular problem, or anxiety attacks. This should be discussed with your Doc.
