you could also say to your mom that if you were having chemo for Cancer and lost your hair- would she still be as insensitive as to give you grief about your appearance?

& how would she feel to have been diagnosed with a serious illness like bp & have to come to terms with a lifetime of medication with assorted unpleasant side effects?

p.s have you talked to your doctor? You have every right to tell them you are displeased with the weight gain & would like to know what alternate medications you could try? Some aren't bad at all in regard to weight.
