My son is 4 1/2... He's been exhibiting a lot of disturbing behaviors lately. I don't where he would get this stuff.
Honestly..it can be gross. He's 4 1/2 and recently he's begun playing with his poop, or he'll poop on his floor, which he's done a couple of time.
On another note, he constantly hides food in his room..we'll find it weeks later all along the side of his bed or in one of the corners.
It's almost like he hoards it?? I mean, I don't know why he's keeping it...
This could all be standard behavior for a 4 year old...except for the first part, I know something's wrong there...but he is sooo defiant. Or, for example, if you give him milk instead of juice, he has a melt down. And I mean, I hate to say it this way, but you'd think someone died in the family.
It's the end and he'll scream and throw things, slam stuff around. It's really is frightening to watch. To see your own child at his wits end..over milk.

I'm sorry to keep going on, but there's this whole other side of it where he says things like, "I hate myself" "Nobody loves me" and he smacks his head against the wall.
It scares me, knowing that bipolar is at least partially genetic. I was diagnosed with it when I was 11. A lot of what he does are the things I did... but not that age.
Although, at his age, I was pretty abusive toward myself without even knowing, it just seemed normal to me.
I'd put a hanger over my head onto my neck and walk around feeling like i was choking, or put my fingers in electrical sockets. But I never told anyone this...I never thought it was a problem.

I think it's pretty clear there is something wrong here.
I didn't know if anyone has gone through this, has a child who is bipolar, or has any thoughts.
