does anyone suffer from Bi-polar II disorder that is what i have been told i have. just trying to make sence of all this and figure out why i behave the way i do and if others do as well

hi, yes I'm down as Bipolar II (ish).

It's natural to go through a persiod of uncertainty and adjustment after diagnosis - even if you were expecting the diagnosis you have got.

Are you going on meds? It makes life alot more simple in many ways.

I was diagnosed back in 2009 because of a strange episode I had. had been on meds mostly ever since then in 2017 I went off my meds and my whole world crashed down just went back on them so right now im takeing 40 of lutuda and 25 of lamotrigine

I am bipolar type 2. I can relate to the confusion. I was misdiagnosed as having just depression for years before I got the correct diagnosis. Only when they added a mood stabilizer and anxiety meds did I finally feel like I was on the right track. I tried to drop the stabilizer a few years back and ended up a mess.

Oh yes, I was scared to death of the way I was behaving until I accepted the reality that I have this disorder and therefore a combination of meds and working on myself would help me immensely. Before this I was almost a danger to myself and others with my episodes of rage induced behavior.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
