Ever have a deep dark secret that you know you can't tell any one about?
You wish you had a friend close enough to share it with but you just can't tell any one?
I can see why the catholics have a certain appeal to confession. If only it were true you could confess your sins and they'd just be forgiven.
But real life doesn't work like that.
There are some sins that can't be forgiven and you can't make a come back from them.
I try not to think about my past as much as possible but some times your past creeps up on you.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I have some pretty dark secrets...some real skeletons in the closet but am in the process of becoming more comfortable with them---mostly through therapy. My therapist is definitely my confessor. Sometimes it is good just to let the past reality come out of the closet, so to speak, in a controlled setting--whether a confessional or in a therapist office.
In a way confession saved my life. I was headed towards a real breakdown and insanity. The secrets were eating me up.
having someone listen to me and not judge me, opened up a better space in me...sort of a freedom.
Take care. xx
I actually think the confessional is a really good thing.. Im not Catholic however to be able to safely discuss anything you want with another person is good for our emotional state...
I wish I knew how to forgive me.. I can forgive everyone else..x
My son had a very bad exp in HS. He told a good friend some inner feelings and the friend exposed him to everyone.
