oh gooood, i always manage to make it back in time for food. yippeee!!! I went to visit tj at five, it is now 11.45pm and i am tired. it is about an hour's drive away. he's settled in well back in castlebar hospital but it is just a general hospital so it is not at all suited to his needs and he cannot press the call button for the nurses so i'm worried that they will forget to check on him and he'll choke or something! There was sheet lightening on my way home and thunder and lots of wind so that made for interesting driving... time to relax and hear the news. how was everyone's day? oh i like this soup... and those steaks smell mouth-watering.. no swinging from the chandeliers tonight?

yes sadie, he has a call light and button remote but he's paralysed from the chest down and cannot use it. in the other hospitals they had a microphone rigged up to his bed so that he could call a nurse when needed. so i hope he wont be in this place for too long. he's in the elderly medicine ward which is not the one for him at all. he needs to be in a spinal rehab hospital and is waiting for a transfer as soon as they have a bed available.
