I got my daughter 9 gifts so far. Two controllers for her gamecube shouldn't really count as gifts but her other controllers are broken
that's why she doesn't play with it. But I got her gamecube games for the gamecube and she can't play them without the controllers so I had to buy new controllers too.

I got her flushed away gamecube
mario party 4 gamecube
codename kids next door gamecube
ed edd and eddy gamecube
over the hedge gamecube
the littlest petshop jungle for the nintendo ds

And I got her a moxie girls styling head

How many presents is too much?

I still have to buy for the step daughter yet
and I still haven't bought the daughter her big gift yet
I have to save for that......

So what do you think?

I'm in worse shape than you. My girls have 11 gifts so far, my son 12 and I'm picking up one more thing for him next weekend so that means I need 2 more things for each girl. And that doesn't count the gift from Santa or their stockings.

I think thats probably enough. At that age they dont know any better and if you buy them too much they wont appreciate what they do get as much

a lot would depend on the age of the child and the cost of the gifts. Even though I have 11 gifts for my girls I still haven't spent over $150 on them. My son however is getting a few expensive gifts this year including a tenor saxaphone but he is 15.

I will have to save a month and a half worth of what I get coming in to get her what she wants and I won't have enough for it come Christmas. I have to help the hubby buy for his step daughter. I promised him I would since I am so far ahead of my Christmas shopping. I need to get one big gift and then I am done.....but I don't know what big gift to get since I can't afford what she wants as her big gift. She wants a nintendo dsi but they are too much money this Christmas.

Something fun..I dunno how old your daughter is. Stuff to paint with? I would say books & a science experiments set & something like roller skates but hey, I guess that's last century ;)

She has one of those.....I was gonna upgrade for her birthday but still don't know what big gift to get for a girl that has everything pretty much.

I dont mean to be a party pooper, but.....
Is it really necessary to buy her so much.
I spoiled my daughter terribly. Now I am paying for it
She is 21 and cant keep her checkbook balanced. She expects me to bail her out. She has lots of speeding tickets and no money.
She only goes to school when she feels like it.
She is spoiled and I did it to her....

I don't have children, but I have a 19 year old sister who is a lot like tumble's daughter. She has a harley davidson motorcycle, and a 2005 scion tc. She is indulged to much. We didn't have much money when I was growing up, but I learned to appreciate what i have. Be careful, you don't want to create a monster, lol.

Wow, I am a daughter, I have no kids of my own and wow, if my mother ever bought me as many gifts as any of you, I would be needing a bigger house.... I became pretty independent at a young age. I think whatever is in your heart is great, but to me, the holidays aren't about the gifts, but about the meaning of love and family.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
