When I used to celebrate Christmas I found that getting the shopping for gifts done by Halloween to be a stress reliever. That way I would not have to get out in the mad crowds. I don't know if it's a beeper thing or not.

Wow, you're real early for the "bug". I get like that too, but never this early. I will swing from "can't wait" to "bah humbug" back and forth and back and forth. Then when it's a week away I get into my deepest lows and anxiety kicks in! Must be the bp!

I love Christmas too, I started buying my presents months ago

I've started buying xmas gifts...and I'm trying to budget for the rest of the gifts. I've been listening to xmas music for weeks b/c it seems to make me happy. I used to have all my xmas shopping done by halloween thru layaway at Walmart, but they don't have that anymore, so I actually have to save up. It sux.

I love Christmas!! The joy of giving-even the smallest thing. Just to let folks know that you are thinking of them. I absolutely LOVE Christmas lights. I get so excited. When I feel like it, we put lots and lots of lights and lit up characters outside on the porch and in the front yard. I have tons of stuff, but not as much as I want to have one of these days. I cannot save up money to save my life so I just have to buy gifts as the money allows. I am terrible with money. ;(

I could happily ignore christmas all together! If there is a time of year I am more likely to be unwell, it is around then. And birthdays. Well, all of them except Halloween.

I loooooove christmas. But the past couple of years before I was medicated it was hell to enjoy it all. Now that I am somewhat stable I am so excited about christmas. I bought all three of my children the new DSi's and I cant wait for them to see them.

I'm a big kid and so is my boyfriend so giving them things makes us very happy too. We are the best in picking out presents cuz we know what we would have wahted when we were kids.

I want to put up my decorations too... I know i'm going to go and buy more stuff this year to put on my mantle and just anywhere around the house. I love the holiday season. Plus christmas is my favorite holiday

actually we're having an early christmas this year as my son will only be home for Thanksgiving. (oct in canada) so we're having an early celebration...

i am nuts about christmas...just the thought of it is too much...we have already been deciding what we are going to do on christmas day...and i have been thinking about how to decorate this year and where to put the tree ( new house)...i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
i tend to go overboard on the spending though...will have to watch it this year.
i definately want to get everything done way earlier than usual but it never happens...oh my god ive got the bug too woooooooooooohoooooooooo
our local supermarket is already selling mince pies and chocolate calendars ...i just love it

but i do get really stressed too, ridiculously stressed actually...this year we arent buying any presents for anyone..saving for our wedding in aug so will just be buying for my daughter , should hopefully be a bit of a stress reliever and will help curb the spending. but no doubt i will spend more on food and decorations..and a HUGE tree....oh im sooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!! somebody stop me

I'm so glad to read that some of you share my enthusiasm with xmas. I'm so excited about it. Xmas time is always so pleasant....the spirit of sharing and caring. Love it!

I used to love Christmas...but being with my husbands family always ruined it for me... I really don't like them.( they don't like me either).. so every year they would want to get together before Christmas day, which ruined the rest of the holiday for me...so last year I just didn't go.... My husband took the kids....

It was the best Christmas I have had in the 18 years of being married... I plan to do the same this year too....

Take advantage. Get as much done as you can now. Make it less stressful during the actual season.

I saw some halloween decorations up yesterday - yes my neighborhood decorates for EVERYTHING - and it made me think of Christmas. It really is just around the corner.

I just ran out and did some xmas shopping. Hooray for Xmas Shopping!!!! I really didn't have the money to do that...but I had the itch. ya know? I'll be all set for xmas this year!
