Christianity....is insanity.....I don't believe any of the shit I read from the BIBLE

i too have been hurt by my beliefs. i have sought and yet to find the key. when there are babies dying and children being abused and useless murders in and out of war happening i question this whole "god" thing. the only faith i have is that my purple tulips will come up in the spring and that grass will grow and will need mowing. oh yeah, don't get me going on the whole "free will" thing.

i agree, tulips will bloom, as will cherry blossom and lilac, and snow still brings a smile to my face no matter how bad i'm feeling.

To correct a bit of misinformation... Wicca is not for women only. More women seem to be drawn to Wicca, though. There is one of the many, many different Traditions of Wicca, the Dianic Tradition, that generally is for women only.

You know something, I don't think religion is quite the way to go anymore anyway. I believe in God and I pray a lot and I hope for an afterlife but "organized" religion just seems like such a hoax. I wish you luck in your search.

Ev, dont you think all people in any kind of group have good and bad? I am a christian and I dont think I am cruel and selfish. I could be wrong and will stand corrected.

Many of us are hurt by others in one way or another and some of us are misunderstood in our intentions. I dont think a few bad apples should spoil the whole bunch. Many christians are very caring and loving people. xo

I don't believe in anything except that there is a higher power and that we are responsible for our own beliefs and to decide what spirituality and faith mean to you.

i agree with evelynnj, my father is the most unforgiving, cruel people i have ever met and he is a pillar of the church, the bishop thinks he is great. one of my brothers is bp and obsessed with god and no longer speaks to me which is v. christian of him, i have reached out to him several times as i don't do the no talking thing and he knows that i find withdrawal of communication v. cruel.

I used to believe that being poor and the mentality that goes with it was why my family was part of a cultish Christian religion. And I believed that all the badness that happened to me as a child was because of the belief systems of poor, uneducated Christians.

I still think that may have something to do with it, but now I believe that humans in general are just evil by nature no matter what their beliefs. Some fight that part of themselves and are moral people, but so many don't know or care to curb their nature.

Disclaimer: I'm being extremely negative at the moment, so maybe I'll just go back to hating poor, uneducated Christians in a few months and not everyone.

April............God has opened my eyes to the evil that lies within myself and I fight it everyday. I wasn't always aware though. I think it came with my deeper spiritual awareness. I struggle now to see the good within myself and to not think I am all bad. I struggle to see the good in humanity pretty often too. It is tiresome, but a necessary evil. Hugs.

Maybe everyone just has a mental illness of some sort.
