I'm in Minnesota in the states, and just sitting here watching Burn Notice on TV. Just got up a few minutes ago. I'm doing good, got some bad news over the weekend, but hanging in there.

Gotta love Mr Pratchett. Like other humorous sci-fi writers (Douglas Adams etc) he wraps hard truths in a fantasy sugar coating.

Hello I'm in England on the not so sunny south coast. I am just avoiding doing much this afternoon as I find I am not focused enough to work today. It's turned cold and I am contemplating warming up in bed.

I'm at home watching Greys Anatomy and cuddling with my dog and the puppy. I had a surprisingly good weekend. Watched my older sister graduate college. Went to a wedding reception. And had four days off work. I'm good :)

I log in for a little while each day. Watching all seasons of the west wing on DVD over the next while on loan. Happy days!

Present! Working hard at work yet still not able to make ends meet. I'm very frustrated. But I'm alive so that's a good thing.

I am just settling down and starting to wind down for the night here in the Chicagoland area. Maybe I will hit the hay at 6pm (Half an hour from now). I know early to bed. I am running out of steam.

Hi! I'm here in good old rainy Massachusetts sitting on my laptop waiting for some website test work with my dog and drinking a Pepsi.

I learned a while back that my big guy has vision issues and we went to the optometrist who said we could put glasses off for a year since it his bilateral refractive amblyopia didn't appear to be impacting him too severely and he could see at 20/40. Well - yesterday I got an email from his teacher, a call from the school nurse, and I spoke to the teacher as well. It IS impacting him at school when it comes to things like beading a string that involve both fine motor and visual motor skills which meant a call to the optometrist who decided to prescribe glasses now so I'm also researching places where we can get discounts on glasses and are good with really young kids.
