l was still at school for me war films had John Wayne in them on tv that blew my mind l cried like a baby.

Young Frankenstein for comedy. Moulin Rouge for best musical and Christmas in Conneticut for best Christmas movie--- (the whole premise of a "married" woman flaunting herself in fromt of a service man, even for a comedy, was pretty cutting edge in the 40's) and Double Indemnity for film noire.

For a movie about someone with a mental disorder(s) I'd have to say
'Taxi Driver'.
