Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

About two years ago, I had posted a similar post (under a different name).
I do not have any solutions. All I can do is spot when the bad things happen.
I have *tried* counting like you do for periods, but it doesn't always work. I pretty much just *know* that when I have several crying jags at once and when my paranoia gets to an all time high, a day or two later, I start to have this pressure and ache in that area and I know that I am about to you know what.
So, the only things that have helped are:
****************super duper high concentrations of vitamin C found in V-8 and citrus fruits, the gentler of the grapefruits and such
******some gentle excersise helps
****lavender and jojoba sprays or herbal aromas
****hot showers
****dark rooms with white noise and rest
******lean proteins like baked or grilled chicken or turkey or vegetable proteins
A NOTE ABOUT CHURCHES:
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. If you don't want to go to church, don't. If they say something, stand up and tell them "I was not feeling well" and if they persist tell them it isn't their business!!
I think taking extra B vitamins helps me out alot but I have to admit my anxiety goes thru the roof and paralyzes me when the PMDD kicks in. The only thing that helps me is exercise, extra b vitamins and taking extra klonopin for my anxiety. I don't think anyone should have to suffer thru it but it's real....and it does and can exacerbate the BP symptoms, I know this because I live it every month!!
Tats69, i have been taking b- complex, & i think that really helps w/ relieving stress & increasing energy. I use xanax to help me manage my really bad blow ups.
Nevernude, i also have omega three stash, so may have to consider adding that to the mix
Thanks all again!
