I have bipolar II amd increased anxiety I take lithium (30mg 3x a day) and Klonopin (2mg 3x a day). This mixture has my system a little up and down...simply a little! But my anxiety is huge. I asked my doctor to up my Klonopin dosage and she said that she would prefer not to because the level was so high already.
Does anyone know an anxiety medication that goes well with lithium and acts like klonopin?

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

Seriously. Klonopin is a benzodiazapine. This family includes valium, ativan, xanax etc....
I would not recommend xanax as it is seriously hardcore and addictive. Also very hard to wean off of.
Ativan is the least addictive and easiest to wean off of. I only use my ativan when my anxiety is really out of control. Kinda like the hairpulling I am having a fucking heart attack stage.
I started Seroquel a week ago and have had ZERO anxiety for the first time in my life that I can remember. I also take Klonopin, which is good for full blown panic attacks, but doesn't really help generalized anxiety much.
Good luck! B
I find your comment interesting... I am BP2 and have been on Epitec 200mg and Seroquel(Dopaquel)600mg for a while now. Initially I found it worked well but the side effects of the Seroquel have been not great. Now lately I ma finding that I am having anxiety/panic attacks and they are really hectic, not sure why. Has anybody else found that this has happened to them??
