Bipolar Disorder Support Group

This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I am so tired of reading and hearing whiny ass people who have nothing better to do than pick apart and whine about something that they could control in their life. So instead of complaining about having the spend time with family members you can't stand to be around or how Christmas has over taken Thanksgiving totally or how the first Thanksgiving was a big bloody mess we need to take time to focus on the words THANKS and GIVING.
I am thankful for the air I breath for with out it I would be dead.
I am giving my problems over to God for him to carry my burden.
So tell me what you are thankful for and what you are giving away or doing to help someone.
Please be positive with this and if you wish to be whiny I am sure you can find 135 other threads to do that one.

the sun is shining right now, after two days of solid rain.
I have had two days of peace and quiet without having to take care of "S".
My elderly cats are all well.
I have enough $$ to pay my bills.
My car still runs.
My high-risk pregnant daughter has not lost her baby. (due in 1 1/2 months!!)
I have easy access to extra left-over free food, which is helping me pay my bills, and keeping my tummy full with things I like to eat.
All my health problems are for the most part manageable, and I have nothing acutely life-threatening.
Having said all this, I feel like I am tempting fate to say, "Oh, really.....???" And I could add to each one of these comments, "and"...."but"....."however", etc. In fact, I have to resist the urge to do so in writing each one of these things I am thankful for. But nonetheless, finding the strength to obstain from that, and keep the thankful thoughts pure and simple and thankful, does a lot to change my attitude and perspective....if I can stand it!!!! LOL!!!
And free, don't fool yourself; just as not making a decision is still making a decision (not to, ....whatever.....)...so also is your belief system, (not to believe in a imaginary fairy tale god). Everyone has a belief system, whether it is to chose not to believe, or to believe. Or to choose neither and remain agnostic. That is also a belief. The said person then chooses to believe that there may or may not be, a God.
(((( hugsies ))))
dyslexic are awesome
Yes it is a support group and I am asking for support and the needed support is for positive thoughts and NONwhining.
AND I HATE WHINING!!!!
Could this be the source of my self-hatred? (or at least one of them)
What can you do though, when you're completely worn out and have no choice but to continue with the program (or watch it all fall to pieces)...I'm just not that strong of a saint!
I actually think when people are feeling there worst.. this may be a very therapeutic process for them... what are you grateful for when in the depths of despair.. it may be physical health.. being able to get up and shower... having a nice hot cup of coffee.. there are always things when you seek them out..
Im thankful for so much.. the people here for one.. I don't know what I'd do without you guys...
Im thankful for the family I had for many years.. may they rest in peace.. I miss them terribly however I have wonderful memories..
Im thankful for my great new room mate and my Rascal...he keeps me in line..smile..xo
