Her name is MT and we met my first day of high school. Funny looking toothpick with curley hair she looked like a Q-tip. I doubt I was that striking either. From the start it was apparent we could not stand each other. For four years we never had anything nice to say to each other. Until one month before graduation. We were both talanted singers.
We had to come up with a duet for the parents dinner togeather. That is when I started to ask her a question that had been brought up to me many times in four years. " Do you think the reason we fight so much is ....." "That we are really in love" she finished my sentence.
From that moment on our world changed, dating prom, (when her parents asked me what took us so long to figure it out), to a weekend at a local amusement park. Then graduation day. After the cerimony I held her in my arms and said "The future is yours."
The last words I ever spoke to her the next day I left for college in North Carolina and two days after she left for college in MI. I haven't spoken to her since in 25years. Yet I have always and will always have an MT heart.
I am back in MI now and thanks to the internet know where she is but would never think of seeing her again even after this divorce. My heart couldn't take it. I just live with an MT heart, happy in what true love is.

and if it were true why on each would you not talk to each other if you were really in love? I mean... you could have written to each other.. called each other, made trips to see each other. why would you just say goodbye and never talk again?

l used to fight like cat and dog with a boy in my school and yep same thing with us too.....sob!!
and be ready. it could go a thousand ways. some of them awesome. some of them blah. some of them plain horrid.
but if you have a question in life, why not answer it? you sure don't want to be asking yourself this question at eighty five...

I think its a very lovely story and if you dont contact her you will always wonder, "what if".
My sister did this exact same thing and realized that he was not the person she thought him to be so many years ago. But, they were good friends after all. Beyond fear and aprehension are things we could never imagine. Contact her and see how she is doing. Hugs
