Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo

But when i have a cold, I will take cough syrup with alcohol. When I do this mixed with my meds, I fall to sleep instantly. i usually have a hard to getting to sleep. I am in a daze the whole next day. If I continue to take the syrup for a week, I start getting anxiety and very paranoid. When really bad this develops to thoughts of suicide. I have to "tell" my mind that these thoughts and depression are a direct result of mixing the meds with the syrup and I get thru it. Takes me about a week to get the effects out of my body.

I think some mixtures can be very dangerous to your mental and/or physical health.
Like alcohol and xanax.
NO, I would not drink while taking meds. Do you really want to or are you just trying to fit in with the crowd? If it is the latter, get some sparkling alcohol free drink. And a fancy glass to drink it in.
Go online and search for drug interactions. List your meds, and then add alcohol. It will show you what will happen. Please, be safe. I hope, like me, you will find you can have fun without the alcohol. Love. MK.
Now, I have liver issues from all my meds, mostly RA drugs, and I couldn't drink if I wanted to. Basically, I can get quite happy around people who are or are not drinking. I don't take bipolar meds anymore, but I would not drink ever again, even if my liver got better. I like to wake up sober, having gone to bed in my mostly sound mind.
My sister reminded me today that her husband has to kick her under the table when she gets drunk at functions. Because she talks too much. I talk too loud on the best of occasions, and I was an obnoxious drunk. Well, more obnoxious that normally. So, nope, I love being sober, and don't miss it in the slightest.
I say, enjoy life, and laugh at those who can't have a good time without drinking.
