I'm bipolar type 1 and I've known for about 2 years. I have showed signs of what could be bipolar as far back as a little over a decade ago but I didn't know what was wrong with me. I can get very aggrevated and blow up at the littlest thing. So far, my family and some close friends are the only ones to really be the brunt of my moods. I've been dating someone for about 6 months, and while I've told him that I'm bipolar, he doesn't know how bad I can get. I want him to know this part of myself but I'm also afraid that if he witnesses it that he will run for the hills. Does anyone have any advice to give me to maybe ease him into it?

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

We do need to try to find ways to help ourselves... If you are out of control a lot of the time it will hurt your life a great deal... We have a treatable disorder... There may be times that we become ill however that shouldn't a most of the time
You wrote that you 'blow over the littlest thing"... I would work hard at finding a way to find more stability
