Do you recognize and know when you are delusional/paranoid having a psychotic episode or do you realize it later when other people tell you, or you just realize how unreal your thinking was??

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

It was a very definite hallucination. It was real to me, but I knew it couldn't be really there. Of course, I did not have a diagnosis, this was between my first and second breaks. If I had done that today, I would have just checked myself back into the psych ward.
For most of the rest of the delusions, I did not realize till after that it was all in my head. Esp. the grandiosity.
But I will also say that since I've been diagnosed, I question myself a lot more and can sometimes see that it's my illness affecting my judgment and kind of catch myself and stop myself from being delusional.
Who knows?! Maybe I'm ALWAYS delusional and just don't know it!!!!!
sometimes when I am really paranoid I can get very delusional about whatever the issue is. And make up a whole situation and make myself more afraid. I will question it, like am I really afraid for nothing, this is all in my head, etc.
I am not sure if that is me recognizing it, or if it's just me trying to calm the paranoia because the questioning never changes the outcome. I still stay with whatever the problem is.
This really confuses me :|
The delusional/psychotic thing....I've had a psychotic episode one time, I saw it written on a piece of paper BP1, psychotic episode, schizoeffective...and well I didn't ask about it at the time and have no idea what that was about...I don't have that pdoc anymore...but I was just wondering if I should have known looking back...
ah...this can be confusing . :/
nothing bad or i can't handle i know what happening and how to deal with it...its how my body deals with wayyy to much stress or when i forget my meds..and paranoia shit I alway know!! or i alway toss it up to im being paranoid thats mainly with health stuff tho once n awhile its to do with people thinking badly of me but the thought rite after is who care ur being paranoid rock it babe girl! and i do lol
