ok, maybe that was a bit harsh...we are after all BP and spending money is something we can do while manic....

plastic is the quickest way to get in debt. We filed chpt 13 last year and it was the smartest thing we could have done.

if you don't have the cash you don't need it....that's what a wise person once told me :)

I've used this agency a couple of times now, (once jsut recently)....and I r3eally like them. They can not only help you re-structure your debt, but also teach you some strategies that will help you from getting into debt again....and for us BP's, that includes keeping up on our meds, and learning the early warning signs of on-coming manic episodes...meanwhile, you can pre-arrange with a WELL trusted friend/family member, a plan to help keep you from overspending while in that phase.

I still own almost $5,000 on my Amex from 2 years ago when I had 4 deaths in 4 months and spent all my time in an airport, a pane or an actual funeral. I made 8 round trip flights in 6 months. I am really hoping to go home this May for my niece's 21st which will be the first time I have been home for a happy event since.

I'm not. Was given good advice when young about never borrowing money.

Best thing you can do is go on spartan budget.

I am totally in debt. I moved to a new state last year and I bought a tiny home as I could never afford one otherwise. Well, I haven't found a job yet and I have a lot of skills.. It cost me about $3000 for the move and I had to put $5000 down on my house. Well a tiny home is considered a movable home so I had to pay almost $5000 in sales tax. I was not in debt before that. And I kid you not, my car blew the engine just a little over a week ago. It is a 2008 and I didn't have a warranty. The dealership quote was $10,000. I still owe $6000 on it. I am now getting it repaired for about $6000... hopefully. So in trying to better my life, in the past 7 months I have gone from maybe a $3000 on a credit card to being over $20,000 in debt. FML

I owe three credit card companies roughly $3000 combined, $10,000 in student loans and another couple grand in medical bills. Credit cards were my downfall too
