This started out to be a good weekend with "Arlene" working here. Yesterday she was in a good mood and everything went fine. Today she didn't look as happy,probably because it was a dreary,cold day (the furnace in this place doesn't work well for some reason). Once again,I canceled an appointment to look at another place because I thought the problem had been solved and things would be OK with Arlene.
Tonight,at snack time,she griped that we were dirtying too many cups and she was always having to wash cups.I approached her afterward and told her that I have a cup downstairs and one upstairs,both of which I keep clean myself. Now I'm depressed again,it was a good weekend until a few minutes ago. It's cold in my room and I'm wearing a fleece jacket and sweat pants to bed. I wish someone would tell me why this woman is so petty about so many things. I'm so weary of it.

((((hugs)))) I know how hard this is but it's so true, try not to let this one person steal your thunder, don't let her bad days be yours deflect it emotionally even if you have to you bite your lip. Yes she is being petty so don't take it personally her bad moods are not your fault so don't take them to heart.....invest in a couple of hot water bottles l hate the cold it gets me down and l find it hard to sleep, they make a difference and are cheap to buy plus you can cuddle them

It's her job to wash the cups isn't it? I wouldn't worry about it Loddy. She is getting paid. Maybe she will get so tired of washing cups she will go find a job somewhere else. HA!!!

Loddy, this is what I do if I have to be around that kind of negativity. I just imagine a bright white light surrounding me. Anything negative bounces off me and never sticks to me.

Remember this from when we were kids?

"I'm rubber you are glue.
Whatever you say bounces off of me
and sticks to you!"

It still applies.

She really needs to find another job. I wouldn't let her bother you, she's probably miserable all the time and with everyone. She's just one of those people.
